Objectives
The STELLA project has been funded with support from the European Commission within the Lifelong Learning Programme, taking place from January 2008 to December 2009. It aims at contributing to the improvement of science teaching in European schools, in particular in order to stimulate young people to undertake science studies and carriers, especially girls.
The project's main objectives are:
- to promote the exchange of good practices in science education all over Europe, by encouraging the networking among practitioners;
- to create an open and continuously updated web based catalogue of initiatives and good practices in science education from all over Europe;
- to encourage communication and cooperation among teachers and schools, providing them with specific tools to stimulate the exchange of ideas and their active participation (also of students and pupils);
- to disseminate innovative projects, methodologies, emerging ideas in science education in an integrated and interactive way.
